Pictures

Here's the pictures I promised :)

Mack and I were driving through Payson and saw this blue car... that has an AWESOME cougar and BYU painted on the sides. We were so excited we had to stop and take pictures. :)

Mack and I are her grandpa's house for the bonfire.
Mack was roasting a marshmellow over the small fire next to her grandpa's house.

This was the bonfire at Mack's grandparents' house.

These are pictures of our awesome tent fort that stayed up for a good two weeks in our kitchen. Pretty much all of the credit goes to Alan for the construction of it. :P

Somers and I after we went 80s dancing in Salt Lake. :)

We took roommate pictures, but it was raining outside, so we started dry with umbrellas... but we eventually gave up on that and just got wet. :P

Shooting:
Alan had this ugly Shrek baby thing he'd gotten in a claw machine, and he and Dustin shot it with the shotgun. It exploded all over the place. :P

Alan shooting...
McKenzie shooting...
Dustin looks pretty pro. :P I think he looks like he's advertising the gun or something.

This happened at Mack's house on our hobo day. Somers and Alan took turns pinning me down while the other drew on me. They made a little target for themselves and threw the pen at my leg to see if they could hit the bulls eye. :P
This was at the Creamery after we surrendered our keys. I was tired... so I wanted to take a nap in the booth.
Mack and the start of her hobo day :P
Our bonfire. Eric (a guy from our ward) made a ring of fire out of schoolwork. :P
Nate and Somers. Nate found a piece of wood and decided to make an Olympic torch out of it. Everyone passed it around for fun, but it kept going out, so he kept spraying it with lighter fluid. :P

Okay, these next pictures are from our Ward Movie Awards Night. We were supposed to dress up red carpet status. Our apartment took it to the next level... We decided to be the extremes. Mal and I were wash out celebs on their days off, looking weird and trying to blend in with the crowd. Krista went for a casual but dressy celeb look. Somers went for... the extreme celeb? Julie looked red carpet status... she was the only normal one out of us. :P Alan dressed pimp and dressy in a suit but casual with the sneakers and hat.

We also decided, after a few minutes of sitting at our table, that we were very different from every other table in the room. We decided that were we at a REAL celebrity banquet, we would be the table that appeared in the tabloids because they were loud, obnoxious, and embarrassing to everyone else. We decided to play it up and everyone took a picture of them as if they were a celebrity "drunk and embarrassing" :PMal's is my favorite. :)
Somers decided she would just be passed out.
Dustin was awesome. :P
I think McKenzie's comes in second for me.
Julie's is also really good... it may tie for second. :)
Alan just looked out of it... :P
Before we decided we'd be the embarrassing table of shunned celebs :P Notice Alan in the back--he's totally trying to copy my creeper face. I've made it my goal to appear in people's pictures in the background and look like a creeper. He did a pretty good job, but it still doesn't beat my best one. :P
I think Krista was going for a seductive look, but she ended up looking like she was going to cry. :P
McKenzie's dress was GORGEOUS. And Dustin looked sweet in a white suit. :)

Alan and I trying to do the Blue Steel/Le Tigre/Magnum look :P

Well, that's all the photos I have for now!

About Time!

Hello!

Well, I figured it was about time for me to update again. School's been over for two weeks now, and I've been staying in Elk Ridge (right next to Payson) with McKenzie and her family. I'm super excited for tomorrow, because Alan will be driving up from St. George to pick us up, and we're heading down a few days early so that we can get in some good tanning, hiking, and fun before it's time to leave. :P

Well, I suppose I should back up to where I left off last time. On Saturday I had my two finals, and boy was that a stress. Oh well, I'm just glad they're over. That night Alan and I went to pick up Rayne from the airport, and on the way, we crashed. Don't worry though--no permanent damage done. There was some debris in the road, and a car wasn't paying attention and slammed on its breaks and then swerved right in front of us. So we hit him. It wasn't really Alan's fault, but, you know, if you rear end someone, it's ALWAYS your fault. So he got a citation for "driving too close" and had to pay $120 or somewhere around there. Lame, I know. We were both okay though, and so were the people in the other car. Since my back still wasn't really healed from my LAST crash, the whiplash from this one really did a number on me. Thankfully though, Alan and Alan gave me a blessing on Sunday night, and I'm very happy to report, I have absolutely NO back pain anymore. Not even the little I had before the crash. It really is quite amazing what blessings can do. :)

I finished up my finals on Tuesday, and then I was free! Of course, I still had to pack up everything, which was a very depressing procedure. On Wednesday, Macey, Krista, Somers, Mal, Alan, and I played in the little waterfall next to Heritage Halls. Then we dried ourselves off and Mal, McKenzie, Dustin, Alan, and I went shooting up near Payson. I also flew a kite, which is the first time I remember doing so. :P I also shot my first clay pigeon! I've never been able to hit moving targets since I'm a horrible aim, but my last shot of the evening I hit one! :) That night Somers, McKenzie, Alan, and I went up to Squaw Peak and went star gazing. We hiked a bit up the mountain since the lights from the city were too bright near where we parked, and we spent a few hours looking at the stars, which was fun. I've never been able to recognize a constellation before--people always try to point them out to me, and I never see them. But I finally saw the little dipper for the first time. :) Somers saw like, a million shooting stars. I still have yet to see one. :P Afterwards we came back and met up with Mal, and the five of us watched Hot Rod out on the lawn. Mal and I were the only ones that stayed awake throughout the entire movie. :P

We had a bonfire on Thursday night and burned all of our schoolwork and the books/packets we couldn't sell back. That was pretty cool. Most of Thursday was spent packing, and we pretty much had everything in boxes and out of the cabinets by then. It was depressing to see our whole apartment in boxes. It didn't really feel like home anymore with everything shoved out in the hall and the walls completely bare. After our bonfire that night, we sat on some couches that people were donating to DI and had left on the basketball court. It was a really warm night, so we just sat out there and talked for a while, which was nice.

Friday morning we had to say goodbye to Krista and Julie. Right after they left, we all just kind of stood in the kitchen looking at each other, and it was the weirdest feeling, knowing two of us were gone until the next school year. We didn't really want to separate to our rooms and clean just yet, so we all went into Somers' and my room and hung out for a while. Eventually though, we had to get back up and pack up everything else and clean, since our check out cleaning was at 6 that night. We just barely finished cleaning when Brianna came to check it. Thankfully we passed, and it was weird at that point because EVERYTHING was cleared out pretty much. We had to say goodbye to Mal that night, which also really sad. Then it was just the three of us, and the apartment felt really empty. We didn't really have much food, but we had random stuff we needed to get rid of, so we all shared a jar of tuna (courtesy of alan) and microwaved quesadillas using the leftover tortillas, spanish rice, and shredded cheese we had from our fiesta on Thursday. We passed around one fork since everything else was packed. It was the first time we felt like poor college students. :P

We didn't really do much that night. Mack moved her mattress in our room and I moved mine onto the floor to make a big bed for the three of us. We watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and stayed up talking till 4. We were woken up at 6 by Brianna to finish moving out, and by 8, were were done. We checked out of our apartment, surrendered our keys, and were officially homeless. :P

We ate breakfast at the creamery to use up the last of our meal plan money. We just bought a package of bagels and little individual cream cheese packets. We used the creamery's silverware at the grill and used napkins for our plates. We contemplated taking a nap in the booths there, since we had nowhere else to sleep and we were exhausted. We ended up going to Alan's building cause he hadn't checked out yet, and we slept on the lobby couches upstairs. The RA, Tim, thought we were hilarious, and took pictures of us "cute little hobos." We slept for a good half hour before Alan was ready to leave, and then we went to Costco and ate the free samples for lunch. :P We felt pretty gross because we hadn't had a chance to shower, and it was raining outside and we were walking around in shorts, flip flops, and sweatshirts. So we drove to Payson and went to Mack's house. After a few hours we said goodbye to Somers and Alan, and they left.

I ended up falling asleep around 5:30 pm and didn't wake up again until 9:30 the next morning. I guess I was more exhausted than I'd thought. :P Since then, I've been staying at Mack's house. I have my own room, which is really nice. We hang out at Dustin's sometimes, and we went to see XMen Origins: Wolverine, which I thought was amazing. I got to see Rayne, Chanel, and Jessica on Saturday, and we went shopping, which was a lot of fun.

I'm not sure what the plans are for tonight, but I'm pretty sure we're meeting up with Dustin. Yesterday we went to his house and Mack and I hung out at his grandparents' house, which was a lot of fun. His grandparents are really cool, and his grandpa has a story for everything. :P We also went to the singles ward for church, and it confirmed all of our suspicions about singles wards in all of two minutes. :P The best story of the week: sacrament meetings ends, and in about two seconds, this guy comes and sits behind Mack and I. Apparently he was in Mack's chemistry class when she was a sophomore in high school. He asks how she's doing, tells her he just came back from his mission in Brazil, and, no joke, in less than two minutes asks: are you dating anyone? She's like, uhm... yeah, I'm kind of dating this guy right here, and points to Dustin. The guy, undeterred, asks if they can still go out and if he can have her number. She's too nice to refuse, and they say goodbye. Then he turns to ME and starts asking how much longer I'm Utah. He tells me I should stay in Utah for the summer, I say no, and he says we should get together sometime before I leave. I say maybe, since there's no way it would happen since I would only be in Payson for one more day, and then, best part of the whole thing, just before he leaves he says to me: remind me, what's her name? and points to mckenzie. I had to try as hard as I could to not laugh out loud. He didn't even know her name and asked her out with her boyfriend sitting right next to her! :P

That evening we went to a CES dinner and I met some of Mack's high school friends. Then we watched the CES fireside, which was pretty cool. We went to Dustin's afterwards and hung out there until about 11:30.

And now tomorrow we'll be leaving around noon or 1, whenever Alan shows up. I'm excited to be going to St. George. We're planning on going swimming pretty much every day, and it's supposed to be about 90 degrees all week. Compared to the rain we've had here, it should be really nice. :)

I'll put up some pictures of the past few weeks later. :P
